Build a custom Bedrock mob in GodCraft from a template or from scratch: skin, health and damage, AI goals, drops, spawn eggs and natural spawning.
Custom mobs are the biggest step up from items and blocks. A mob has a model, a skin, stats, an AI and spawn rules, and if one of those is off it either does nothing or ruins the world. The good news: in GodCraft you don't have to build any of it from zero. This guide walks through making a "Frost Zombie", a tougher zombie that only shows up in cold biomes.
For a first mob, use Custom and pick a template that's close to what you want. A template copies the model, animations, skin and behavior of that mob into a new mob with its own godcraft: identifier, so the original stays untouched. For the Frost Zombie, we pick Zombie. Some newer mobs show a lock and need Premium; the older ones are free.
The editor opens with a 3D preview. Tap it to choose Select (library), Gallery (Skin), Files (Skin), Paint 2D or Edit model.
Because the template already has a matching skin, the fastest route is Paint 2D: recolor the zombie's green to pale blue, add some white frost on the shoulders, done. If you load your own image, it must fit the model's layout, so start from the template skin rather than a random picture.
/summon command to spawn the mob, which you can tap to copy.In the stats section, set Health and Max Health, Damage, Speed, Knockback Resistance and Follow Range. A vanilla zombie has 20 health, so for the Frost Zombie we use 30 and a little more damage, but keep the speed the same. Faster mobs feel much harder than extra health does.
Below that, Size sets the hitbox (Width and Height). If you scale a model up, raise these too, or arrows will fly through its head.
Open AI Goals - Land. Each toggle is a behavior the mob can do. A hostile mob needs at least:
A passive animal uses Panic, Random Stroll and Follow Parent instead. Water mobs have their own set in AI Goals - Aquatic.
Other sections cover breathing, navigation (opening doors, avoiding sun), riding, breeding, taming and inventory. With a template, these already match the original mob, so only touch what you want to change.
In Loot & Experience, set the Experience Reward and the Drops (loot table). The Frost Zombie drops rotten flesh and sometimes ice. If your add-on has a custom item, this is a great place to make it obtainable.
With Is Spawnable on (under Entity Description), the mob gets the usual spawn egg in the creative inventory. If you'd like a separate egg item with its own icon, add a Spawn Egg object and link it to your mob.
To make the mob appear on its own, open Natural spawning and turn on Spawns naturally. Then set:
Start with a low weight. It's much easier to make a rare mob more common later than to clean up a world flooded with a new monster.
