Noise is out. Colour is in. Bright Flat repaints your world in clean, flat 16x16 pixels: one highlight, one shadow, done. Every block reads at a glance, which is exactly what you want when somebody is sprinting at you with a sword.

Round 1: the ground

Stone, cobblestone (and mossy), granite, diorite and andesite plus their smooth versions, tuff, calcite, dirt, coarse dirt, grass, sand, red sand, gravel, clay, mud, snow, ice, packed ice, the sandstone and red sandstone sets, farmland, obsidian, bedrock, netherrack and end stone. Every tiling block is seamless, so big walls and floors stay calm instead of turning into static.

Round 2: the loot

Coal, iron, copper, gold, redstone, lapis, diamond and emerald ores in both stone and deepslate versions, plus nether quartz and nether gold. Chunky gems with a dark rim that pop through any lighting. Iron is pale peach and copper wears a little teal patina, so you never mix them up mid-tunnel. Matching storage blocks get bold flat emblems, and the raw ore blocks are in too.

Round 3: the build kit

The whole deepslate family, bricks, stone bricks (mossy, cracked, chiseled), and for oak, birch, spruce, jungle, acacia and dark oak: planks, logs, log tops, stripped logs and leaves in big flat clumps (fancy and fast graphics both covered). Cherry and mangrove planks too. Glass with all 16 stained colours and their panes, plus wool, concrete, concrete powder and terracotta in a loud 16 colour palette. Crafting table, furnace (it glows when lit), bookshelf, TNT, pumpkins, jack o'lanterns and melons. Water and lava keep their animation with simple flat waves.

Round 4: the gear

Swords, pickaxes, axes, shovels and hoes in wood, stone, iron, gold, diamond, netherite and copper. Short, clean, outlined icons with a coloured guard per tier, so you can tell who is holding what before they swing. Helmets, chestplates, leggings and boots for iron, gold, diamond, netherite and copper. Ingots, gems, raw ores, coal, redstone, sticks, bow, arrows, ender pearls, buckets and the rest of the basics.

Round 5: snacks

Apples (golden too), bread, every raw and cooked meat and fish, carrots, potatoes, cookies, melon, pumpkin pie, beetroot, berries, cake, stews, honey and more. Yes, the steak looks that good. You're welcome.

Get it on

Download the .mcpack and open it: the game imports it by itself. Then go to Settings, Global Resources, activate Bright Flat and keep it at the top of the list. Want it on one world only? Add it under that world's Resource Packs instead. Made for Bedrock 1.21 and newer.

Anything not listed keeps its usual look, so the pack plays nice with everything else you run. Now go win something.
